European Digital Innovation Hubs

In the context of the “Digital Europe Programme,” to support the digital transformation of European societies and economies, the creation of a European network of digital innovation hubs (European Digital Innovation Hubs – EDIHs) has been planned, pre-selected by individual Member States and subsequently selected by the European Commission. The objective is to ensure the digital transition of industry, with particular reference to SMEs, and public administration through the adoption of advanced digital technologies, such as artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, and cybersecurity. With the EDIHs, the Commission has signed a grant agreement for the first 36 months with the possibility, following an evaluation by the Commission itself, to extend its duration. The same EDIHs will subsequently sign a grant agreement with the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy regarding national co-financing through a funding decree.
